Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but here’s another tag for you! It’s about music… and stuff…
1. Favourite band/musician of the moment
This one’s easy; Troye Sivan! Troye is an Australian youtuber who recentely brought out his newest EP: TRXYE. It already hit no. 2 in Canada, and knocked 5 Seconds Of Summer (whom I also really love) down to number 6 in the US. His single “Happy Little Pill” became very popular, very fast. My personal favourite song from TRXYE is “fun”. It’s written from the point of view from someone who recruites a boy into the army and makes it look like war is some kind of happy holiday with your mates. I love it. Here’s a line from the chorus: “Let’s go have fun / you and me in the old jeep / ride around town with our rifles on the front seat“
2. Band/musician you always come back to
She was the first musician I really liked, I think I was 10, and though P!NKS music was just a “nice tune” to me when I was younger, most of her music has actually really cool, meaningful lyrics. The song that made me love her was “(fucking) perfect”. I still love it. The videoclip is awesome, ’cause it’s actually a story. It shows the difficult life from a little girl to a grown up woman. Oh, and P!nk is just really badass.
3. Favourite song(s) of all time
-Save The World – Swedish House Maffia — I don’t know why, but I just love this song? Maybe it’s because there’s dogs in the videoclip ;).
-F**kin’ Perfect – P!nk — no need to explain, haha.
4. Most embarrassing song in your iTunes/music library
The Fox – Ylvis. Huh? Oh, you mean that super annoying, over-played song that goes like “WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY HGJGSJKHXKJH“? I LIKED IT OKAY. Please don’t judge me, internet :(.
5. Top 3 Songs played in your iTunes/music library
1. Hot ‘n’ Cold – The Baseballs
2. Crazy In Love – The Baseballs
What can I say? The Baseballs make cool songs so much cooler.
3. Hey There Delilah – Plain White T’s
I just think this song is cute? Can a song be cute, you ask? I have no idea. But hey, this super amazing voice is singing to his long distant relationship girlfriend, Delilah, about their future and to me it sounds preeeetty awesome.
6. Favourite CD/Album
I guess I can’t go for TRXYE because I wrote like, a whole essay about it at no. 1… In that case I’m going for “5 Seconds Of Summer” by, you guessed it, 5 Seconds Of Summer. These boys are, just like Troye the boy, also from Australia. Hm. I love Australia. I don’t really understand myself because I don’t like One Direction, although I think 5SOS and 1D are pretty alike… someone I know said it’s because 5SOS is more “rock” and 1D more “pop”. I guess that makes me a rock chick? Kidding ;p.
7. Favourite album art
My favourite album art is from the single “Maps” from Maroon 5. Uh… wait… a single isn’t really an album???
Oh. Anyways, I love this album design because it’s simple but not boring at the same time. An old fashioned floral pattern on the background, with white, bold letters that make it look more modern and fun. It just says “MAPS”, but that’s all I need to know. It’s clear, and I like it.
musical/movie soundtrack/ music based movie
My favourite movie soundtrack is from the Fault In Our Stars. It’s called “Boom Clap” and I love it because it fits right in the movie and I just really like the beat and sound of it. I’m actually playing it right now!
9. First concert you ever attended
I was 12, I think, maybe 11, and with my best friend. We went to a dutch singer/rapper, named Gers Pardoel. I was a hugeeee fan of him. I still listen to him sometimes, but not as much as I used to. The concert rocked, haha. I had a great time :D.
10. Best concert you ever attended
Uhhhhhhh….. scroll up?? :p I haven’t been to much concerts, hehe.
11. Favourite quote/song lyrics
Sovereign Light Café (Afrojack ft. Keane):
We were friends and lovers
and clueless clowns.
I’ve sung these lyrics way to many times, m’kay.
12. Can you play any instruments?
I used to play the violin when I was younger, but… nope.
13. Do you have “a song” with anyone?
Not that I can recall right now, but me and my bestie always get hyper if we hear Troye’s “happy little pill” . We loooove itttt.
14. Has your music taste changed over time?
Not that much. Ofcourse a little. Now I’m better at english, and actually know what the songs are about, I do listen to other music than I did before. I like music with a story in it. So that when I’m on a car trip I can make a little music video in my head :).
Well, that was it for “The Music TAG”, I hope you enjoyed. Please, leave a comment xx
